We first met Abby when at O’Henry’s about a week before her big day. Ya’ll…. she is the sweetest! I knew that she was our type of bride when we received her very first email almost a year ago and two or three messages in she sent me a photo of her wedding dress! She entrusted her newly hired photographer with a sneak preview of her dress. This gesture is so sweet and rare for us in our field. The gesture gave me some idea of how sweet she was but once we met her in person she confirmed all of our predictions of just how sweet she really is. She gushed about how excited she was for her and Josh’s big day and how all of her details were falling into place and to come together. You just couldn’t help but fall in love with her as she talked about her plans.

The moment we arrived at the Redmont Hotel and the bridesmaids handed me Abby’s Bridal detail I knew this was going to be one knock out wedding to remember. DETAILS DETAILS DETAILS!!!!!!! This is what it is all about. Abby and Josh love Birmingham and you can tell that they have a classic style about their parties and relationship in general. Abby’s planning captured this perfectly. She had every last little detail down to a tee. She is a fashion blogger after all so this is no surprise.

The city sky line was in the background as the girls got ready and popped champagne on the bed! Abby’s wedding gown screamed simple elegance. Black white and a touch of gold lined every bit of this special day. Abby’s color pallet accompanied by the occasional splash of red (the First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham’s door, or the Classic 71 Oldsmobile cutless!)  was to die for!

The day was filled with so many special moments. Some of our favorite parts of the day was the Father Daughter first look. (Abby’s Dad is the absolute cutest!) Abby had a sleeve from her late mother’s wedding gown that she had made into little wraps to go around her Step Mother and new Mother-in-Law’s bouquets for their walk down the aisle. Abby’s sorority sisters surrounded her for a candle ceremony. She also ambushed one of her bridesmiads to catch the Bouquet at the end of the night because that is what her mother did on her wedding day.

We worked with so many great vendors! You can find them listed below.

The day was so fun and so beautiful and we are forever grateful to have met and worked with this couple. The night was filled with drinking and dancing the night away until their feet were sore and they just couldn’t dance anymore (I know our feet were howling the next day lol) The Willens sure know how to throw a party.

They truly are something so special. We hope you enjoy this preview……
